Finally!

The return of Grey’s Anatomy was a hit this week. I great review is on the TVGuide network. So be sure to look at that. What i was really interested in was the relationship between Alex and George this week. George has always been in the back seat. He’s a nice all and all but he’s no asshole and always very friendly, if you know what I mean. But Alex and George have always sort of competed with each other, even though their characters are very different. The first time we ever saw them compete, medically, was in the first season when they both got stuck in an elevator with a dying man. Alex froze and George saved the day. But this is where we saw that George had out-shown Alex.

Also, the two of them have always had a relationship with Izzie. George is Izzie’s best friend. And now Alex is her boyfriend. But this week we saw again how George trumped Alex medically and could easily handle pressure. Alex then proceeds to blow up at George, calling him names and saying he’s a bad doctor. But at the end, we see George sitting at the local bar, and Alex comes and sits ext to him. Alex then says, that Izzie is really sick and it’s a lot of pressure, and he’s not good at handling pressure. It was nice to see Alex take down his wall and confide in George.

On the Izzie side of things, we see her get stedily worse. She is given the strongest chemo possible and at first, she is all smiles, eating hamburgers, and planning Meredith’s wedding. We see her trick all her friend multiple times, and use her sickness to get what she wants in all fun. But then we see her take a turn, and she faints. It just shows that Izzie really is sick and it’s finally starting to hit her.

Next week should bring more surprises so be sure to stay tuned!
